The scandal surrounding Antonella Barba and her racy photos have got some people really worked up about it.

Frenchie Davis Speaks On Idol Controversy

A few 'American Idol' seasons ago, in season 2, Frenchie Davis was kicked off the show when it was reported that she had appeared topless on an adult website. Davis reportedly had used the money for school. She went on without 'Idol,' and nabbed a role in Broadway's wildly successful RENT.

This season, there has been much controversy of "sexy" pictures of a very provocative nature linked to season 6 contestant Antonella Barba. The show has not dismissed her because of the pictures, saying they were private pictures that weren't intended to be seen. (In other words, they argue Frenchie's were intended to be seen, and are therefore different, though I disagree.) More...

Rosie O'Donnell Dives Into American Idol Controversy

There is a move afoot that actually wants American idol to reinstate Frenchie Davis into this week's American idol competition. The reasoning is that she was booted out of the competition during season three for her topless photos and Antonella Barba remains in this year's competition. It is a laughable effort, and appears to be a pipe dream. But even Frenchie seems like she believes it might happen. American Idol: Barba Vs. Frenchie

LOS ANGELES - Frenchie Davis, dumped by ”American Idol” in 2003 for lingerie shots posted on a Web site, moved on to Broadway success and thought she had buried a humiliating chapter of her young life.
That changed in the last few days after contestant Antonella Barba was allowed to stay on the top-rated Fox series despite the emergence of racy online photos that purport to be of Barba, but with no verification.
The first big controversy of the show’s sixth season swelled Tuesday when fans and a civil-rights activist rallied to Davis’ side, saying she was the victim of unfair and potentially biased treatment. Davis is black; Barba is white. More...
